Getting the Specs Right
Here’s the thing: “off-the-shelf” tubes usually don’t cut it. Whether you need short-wave UV to cure something fast or a very specific IR wavelength for drying, we can tweak the chemistry to fit your exact footprint. We also make sure the wattage and voltage actually match your ballast. There’s nothing worse than a lamp that burns out way too early because it was being over-driven. We make sure it just works.
The Nitty-Gritty on Build Quality
We use high-purity fused quartz because if the material is junk, the UV transmittance suffers. For IR, we can add different coatings to shift the emission peak exactly where you need it. Even the connectors matter. Whether you want standard pins or custom leads, we handle it in-house. Why? Because contact failure at high temperatures is a nightmare, and we’d rather do it right the first time. And a quick tip from the shop floor: poorly welded electrodes are the number one reason industrial lamps fail. We use precision TIG welding to make sure that seal holds up, even when the lamp is heating up and cooling down a hundred times a day.
The Heat Problem
Now, there is a catch. More intensity always means more heat. If you try to cram maximum wattage into a tiny tube, your reflectors and cooling fans are going to feel the burn. If your cooling system isn’t up to the task, you’ll end up with warped housings or melted components. To save you that headache, we give you the actual thermal data sheets. That way, you can wire it up and cool it down correctly from day one, without any guesswork.
